Each mother should have timeless photographs that honestly capture the beauty and joy of her family - the kind of photographs that will be passed around the dinner table years from now. I have the privilege of helping mamas capture and preserve those memories through both digital and printed photographs.

I believe that beauty matters and that there is beauty in each individual story. Our moments are precious, and I am honored to photograph the simple (but extraordinary) beauty of many different seasons of motherhood for my clients.

I believe that the ordinary moments are the ones that matter most - a gentle touch, a soft smile, a whispered promise from mother to child. My role is to help you slow down, recognize, and remember those ordinary but oh-so-significant moments that happen each day.

I believe in the importance of home - both the place and the feeling - and I have the honor of stepping into the homes of my clients in order to capture the extraordinary love that lives inside.

I specialize in natural light, film-inspired in-home sessions and have a soft spot for any outdoor session that includes flowers. Although I love a good Christmas card photo as much as the next mama, I'm not after the perfect everyone-smiling-and-looking-at-the-camera images. Instead, I'm known for images that capture the feeling of the moment - photographs that portray true emotion and connection between you and the ones you love. With a focus on quality rather than quantity, each client walks away from their session with timeless portraits that beautifully reflect their family and will be cherished for a lifetime.

I'm a believer in Jesus Christ and my aim is to bring Him glory in all that I do. I'm wife to the boy I've liked since I was 16 and mama to our growing family of little ones. I love exploring new places, but home with my family is truly where I love to be. We live in a quiet corner of the Twin Cities that feels more like a small town, with the sounds of church bells and trains heard frequently in the air.

I'm in love with slow Saturday mornings, watching the sunrise (preferably with coffee in hand), baby giggles, and weekend family bike rides (especially if they include picnics). I am happiest on summer nights, barefoot in my garden with my babies.

I'm Elise, a published fine art motherhood, family, and newborn photographer documenting the goodness and beauty of life. As a mama to four young children, I know firsthand how quickly these days go by - how easy it is for them to blur together in your mind and how desperately you want to remember each moment.

I photograph because I believe that life - in all of its simple yet profound moments - is worth celebrating, treasuring, and remembering.
